About Us

Lilley Chambers is named after Sir Charles Lilley (1830-1897) a former Premier of Queensland and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Queensland. 


Sir Charles was elected to Queensland’s first Legislative Assembly in 1860, was called to the Queensland Bar in 1861 and appointed silk in 1865.


Founded in April 1989, Lilley Chambers is one of Brisbane’s most longstanding and established set of criminal Barristers’ Chambers.
