Daniel accepts briefs in criminal law, regulatory prosecutions, domestic violence proceedings, administrative law and family law. He is available to appear in all jurisdictions from QCAT to the Supreme Court, and across Queensland.
Daniel was called to the Bar in 2022 and has practised as an employed Barrister in both prosecutorial and regulatory settings.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Justice (Distinction) from the Queensland University of Technology. He was admitted as a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2017.
Prior to commencing practice at the private Bar in August 2026, he spent more than a decade with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, culminating in his appointment as a Crown Prosecutor.
As a Crown Prosecutor, Daniel appeared as Counsel in the Children's Court of Queensland and the District and Supreme Courts, conducting jury and Judge alone trials, sentence hearings, pre-recordings of evidence, interlocutory applications, bail applications and appeals pursuant to s 222 of the Justices Act 1886 (Qld). His experience includes serious and complex criminal matters involving allegations of violence, drug offending, sexual offences, and property and dishonesty offences.
Most recently, Daniel served as Principal Lawyer within the Administrative Review Team of the Queensland Building and Construction Commission, where he had conduct of administrative review matters before the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal. His work involved complex questions of statutory interpretation and the assessment of expert and technical evidence, including evidence from building inspectors and engineers.
