Simon’s principal area of practice is commercial law. He appears in matters concerning insolvency, intellectual property matters, business and contract disputes, lease disputes, easement disputes, and estates. Simon worked as a solicitor for approximately 12 years before being called to the Bar in 2016.
Simon holds a Batchelor of Laws from the University of Otago, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law.
Simon is enrolled as a Legal Practitioner in Queensland, New South Wales and New Zealand.
Simon has been called to the Bar for over 10 years and has appeared in the Full Federal Court, the Queensland Court of Appeal, the New South Wales Court of Appeal, appeals to the District Court of Queensland. He appears in the Federal Court of Australia, the Queensland Supreme Court, New South Wales Supreme Court, Victorian Supreme Court, and the District Court of Queensland.
